Diamandes Winery is the fifth winery in Argentina in this group of French investors. After an investment of 15 million, will be formally opened in December in the town of Vista Flores Mendoza.

Clos de los Siete is a venture of five wineries, and this establishment closes the circle of investments originally planned. The others are: Monteviejo (Catherine Pere-Verge), Arrows of the Andes (Dassault-Rothschild), Cuvelier (Cuvelier family) and the cellar of Michel Rolland (ideologue of the project), not yet opened but is already developing its wines.

Diamandes Winery already making wine, but its official opening is scheduled for December 3 in Vista Flores, at the foot of the Andes Mountains and about 120 kilometers from the city of Mendoza.

Among those attending the inauguration is Laurent Dassault, the French billionaire owner of another of the cellars of Clos (Arrows of the Andes) and whose grandfather founded the legendary Dassault aircraft factory, manufacturers, among other models, the Mirage.

To raise the winery owner, Frenchman Jean-Jacques Bonnie with his father (also owners of Château Malartic Lagravière Bordeaux) invested $ 15 million. The choice of Mendoza, as Bonnie, passed by the qualities of Valle de Uco and cost / quality of land, much cheaper than in France. Those reasons “compensate” the fact that Argentina’s economy “can be a little unsettling.” In this sense, the French investor said: “By working with some unpredictability, as the price increase, we have some leeway. However, it is not insurmountable issues. “

Tempus Alba Winery is located in the district of Coquimbito, Maipu, Mendoza, just 30 minutes from the capital city, and you can access it both from the south access to Mendoza, an extension of National Road No. 40, and from National Road No. 7.

The path to the winery itself is a very pleasant experience. The surrounding landscape is typical of rural Mendoza, planted with vines, olive, almond, cherry and horticultural crops, whose forms and colors are enhanced by changing the shape and shade of the imposing Andes Mountains.

Once in the winery, the winemaker and other specialists will take care of our family to tell them in a language professional, yet poetic and passionate, all the details that make the vinification process and finally try to seduce him at the time of sampling .

In Tempus Albus Winery grapes entering the winery come from vineyards, planted on the farm “La Alborada”, “The Return” and “San Antonio”, totaling over 110 hectares and are located in privileged areas of the departments Lujan de Cuyo, Maipu and Tupungato. The heights vary between 800 and 1200 meters above sea level.

The soils are alluvial, deep to shallow, stony, well drained and moderately fertile.

The climate is mild and dry with sunny days and cool nights, and a wide temperature range between day and night that allows for an excellent round tannins and good concentration of color and aromas.

The vines are conducted through arbor or trellis systems and are cultivated in the traditional way, performing tasks of pruning, thinning, canopy management and harvesting by hand by skilled personnel.

Located in the Department of Tupungato at 1200 mt. altitude, with strains of up to 55 years old planted by our grandparents.
Their vines are made of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Tempranillo and Sangiovese that express the characteristics of grapes grown in cooler areas, which adds the variety Semillon, traditional exponent of white grapes in Mendoza.
The traditional furrow irrigation with water from the melting of the Andes.

Located in the District of Anchoris, geographical boundary between the departments of Lujan de Cuyo and Tupungato, at an altitude of 1,040 mt.
The grape is made up of red grapes Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, and white varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
The entire surface with a frost protection system. Moreover, much of it is covered with hail mesh placed in height so as not to affect the good aeration of the culture.

At 800 meters above sea level, in the town of Coquimbito, Department of Maipu is where the Family Biondolillo decided to settle and build the winery, which they considered a perfect terroir for growing Malbec.
This vineyard is strategic for the future development of the family business, as their genetic material strains are the basis for the identification of different clones of oenological interest that are being implemented on the farm “La Alborada” and “San Antonio”. This will be achieved by optimizing the varietal expression of our strains in the different terroirs.

Lurton Winery is located in the Villa Chacayes ship vats and presses as well as the aging cellar were designed and built to withstand earthquakes.

Francois Lurton Winery has some 250 hectares of land of which about 200 are planted. Of these 200 acres, 136 are platadas in Vista Flores, on the farm Chacayes, where it produces its best wines. The vineyard is situated south of Mendoza at an altitude of about 1100m, in a gravel floor, volcanic sand and boulders where the climate is cooler than in nearby valleys. A second farm called Barracks, located in Maipu, comprising some 65 hectares of vines intended to offer varietal wines. It is a calcareous clay soil very fertile where the vine is vigorous. The grape vines are planted on rootstocks to avoid the risk of phylloxera. The high density planting and pruning cuts allow low yields per vine. Controlled irrigation is practiced dropwise to control water stress.

Pascual Toso Winery where cultivation of vineyards spread throughout the Andes from 22 ° to 42 ° south latitude. This major north-south and latitude variations of the valleys produces diverse ecological conditions, which grow different varieties of grapes,

In general, soils of different wine areas come from the decomposition and disintegration of rocks and minerals from the mountains, and its origin is of the Quaternary period. Because of its short life, there are no generic soil layers in your profile.

Climate

In general all the wine areas are in arid hot climate with well defined winters, high solar radiation and temperature ranges that are close to 15 ° C. The annual average temperature varies between 13.8 º C and 18.3 ° C. according to the classification of Winkler, these areas belong to the region II and III.

The annual rainfall in all areas of wine is between 150 and 400mm. Most rain falls in spring and summer. The rain is not enough for vineyards, then you need to irrigate river water or groundwater. In general it is an area of little wind.

Soil

The Upper Rio Mendoza area has soil and climate conditions that allow good varieties grow and produce wines of high quality. It is located in the province of Mendoza about 33 degrees south latitude. The average temperature is 15 ° C. It is located near the city of Mendoza. The wines of this region are one of the highest quality in Argentina. As soon as it begins to descend in altitude, the temperature is higher and different characteristics are found in small distances (no more than 20kms). The climatic conditions allow the formation of color and tannins in wine, making them suitable for aging. Malbec is a typical variety and vineyards of over 40 years make the region a valuable and well known.
Barrancas de Maipu
In the province of Mendoza, in the Upper Rio Mendoza area, is the Las Barrancas, Maipu Department. It is in this town, at 715 meters above sea level where they have more than 400 hectares of Bodegas Toso. This is a diverse terroir: a gap of 7 meters, the floor is from the bare stone on which the grapes are rising in all its nobility, deeper soils with green cover.

The resulting wines are an expression of their origin, producing areas of recognized quality.

The irrigation water comes from the Andes through the main river of the region, known as “Rio Mendoza.”

Farm soils are of alluvial origin, there are two well-defined soil types:
- Stony they come from the grapes for our best wines
- Franco-gritty ideal for growing white varieties intended for sparkling wines.

Many grapes are grown in this area as Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Torrontes, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc …

Cellar
Currently, all base wines fine wines are made in the establishment of “The Canyon” and originate, the finest, with grapes from our own vineyards, as this facility is exclusively dedicated to the production and cultivation of fine celajes that privileged the characteristics of soil and climate of the area, producing wines of exceptional quality.

Still wines: Pascual Toso Winery Canyon

This accommodation is equipped with all the means that modern technology makes available to the wine, either its fully automated machinery and stainless steel, as well as their equipment and cooling system, as well as their vessels in accordance with the best technology. The total capacity of 6 million liters per year.

Sparkling wines: Bodega San Jose

Pascual Toso Winery has at its plant in San Jose, the traditional blowing factory by the classic method and modern method Champenoise Charmat. The winery is located in San Jose, 5 minutes from the center of the city of Mendoza. The original winery has been completely transformed and now, sparkling wines are produced, stored and bottled in San Jose. 60,000 bottles of champagne method sparkling wines are produced by a year, and 9,000,000 bottles are produced by the Charmat method.
